FACIAL CARE TIP
DAILY ROUTINE REGIMEN
If you do not have access or do not wish to visit an esthetician or visit yours
regularly (every 4-6 weeks visits are best, but do have clients who like to come
at every change of season every 2-3 months) then my suggestion is to at least
use a good/reputable skin care line and follow a regimen/routine and do your
masks weekly/bi-weekly!!!
Morning
1- Refresh the skin with toning lotion
(Apply toner to cotton eye makeup pad and wipe face - repeat twice if you wish)
A toner in the morning helps to restore the skin's ph balance, tighten pores, clean/remove
impurities/dead cells and give you that healthy glow to start the day..... Toners also gently
exfoliates the skin! Remember that Depending on the toner some will desensitize, reduce
redness, soothe, calm, regenerate, tone, moisturise or purify the skin!
2- Apply eye serum and/or eye cream
3- Repair/Treat Skin with serums, concentrates, boosters or/and other products that repair
the skin - use once or twice daily depending on your skin needs.... everyone over 28 should use this kind
of product at least once daily, 45+ once or twice daily depending on skin needs! Some 35+ skins may need to
use twice daily due to premature ageing or much skin damage........
During a cure treatment twice daily is recommended for everyone.
4- Apply day cream and sun protection if needed
P.S. A good way to apply your moisturiser is to apply on tip of fingers or in palm of your
hands the amount required then rub fingers or both hands together to warm up product
then massage into face...... or use the dot method where you make little deposit of the
cream on forehead, cheeks, nose and chin and them massage in... what works for you!
How much cream to apply, depends on individual needs from a pea size to a dime size, use
what your skin needs.... Another method that I support is to apply cream to tips of fingers
or palm of your hands , rub hands together and pat cream into skin gently....
For serums I prefer applying a few pumps in the palm of my hand and with the other
hand using tip of fingers and applying serum to face and neck
.
Evening
1- Cleanse with your favorite cleanser (this is a must, can't skip evening cleansing weather
you wear makeup or not). Cleanse for 30 seconds for dry/sensitive skins and 60 seconds for
normal/combination/oily and very oily and acne skins up to 90 seconds.
2- Apply eye serum and/or eye cream
3- Repair/Treat Skin with serums, concentrates, boosters or/and other products that repair
the skin - use once or twice daily depending on your skin needs.... everyone over 28 should
use this kind of product at least once daily, 45+ once to twice daily, depending on skin needs!
During a cure treatment to be used twice daily, some 35+ skins may need to use twice daily
also due to premature ageing or much skin damage.
4- Apply night cream
Exfoliate
Most skins once weekly is sufficient, for drier or sensitive skins every other week is
recommended or as needed depending on skin type/needs, type and level of sensitivity, but if
you use an non grain exfoliator made especially for sensitive skins like dr. renaud Doux
Satinage Enzymatic Peeling then you can do once weekly....!
Oily, acne-prone, and oilier/combination skin types can exfoliate twice per week if you wish
because skin is more tolerant.
Remember you can do a 2 in 1 mask/exfoliation by using products like dr. renaud
enzymatic peeling, phyto sintesi AHA mask and so on....... you exfoliate and mask at the
same time. Or even incorporating the use of AHA creams a 2-3 times a week into
your routine is enough. I have many clients who do this with excellent
results......
Mask
Normal to Dry Skin: Use once a week or bi-weekly.
Normal to Oily/Acnegenic Skin: Use 1 to 3 times a week.
Remember to exfoliate or do a good cleansing to your skin before applying mask.
Mask once a week, bi-weeily or as needed, more if doing intense treatment!!!
Remember when you mask that you are bringing impurities, to the surface and loosening
of dead cells so it is not unusual for a few days to see more flaking, breakouts or impurities
coming to the surface.... just continue with your daily routine and these will be removed.....
not to mention the exfoliation/healing that takes pleace...... when the skin is healing it is
not unusual to experience flaking..... You may not experience this all the time depending
on your skin condition or how you take care of your skin daily.....
Please remember when you are starting a new skincare regimen that
Sometimes it can take as long as 4-6 weeks for the skin to adjust to the
new regime! During this time you may expect some skin flaking this
is normal because the skin is healing/regenerating repairing damaged
tissues and cellular renewal is occuring! Flaking/Peeling is one of the
first sign of a complexion being rejuvenated! Do not give up too early,
sometimes the skin might seem it looks worst before it starts to look
better!!!
In European Countries, the French especially, girls start
moisturising there skin as early as age 12!!!This includes face
and body!!!!!! and by the time they are 15-18 they are on a
skincare routine/regimen for the rest of her life including
monthly visits to an esthetician or doing there at home weekly
mini facials regularly which includes use of a mask and
exfoliant of course using good products with beneficial
ingredients!
There is no reason to not take 5 minutes daily to take care of
your skin......
